masQara

These diagrammatic portraits give you a peek beneath the decades of self made layers, to reveal a coded persona. They are drawn on a Cubist-inspired dissembling of the image into its constituent lines and colors, to create a work that offers multiple viewpoints.

 

In this version of the ‘masQara’ series, I have tried to create a richly symbolic tableau

inspired by the precarious balance that I strive to achieve between multiple objects, people, activities and processes. The dynamic compositions hope to invite viewers to read their own polarities in the artworks.
